Cigar lighter socket always on

Hello
I've bought FM Transmitter which I plug into Cigar lighter socket in my Ibiza(2005). However, FM Transmitter is always on, even when car is completely turned off. So I need to unplug it every time I'm leaving car. I was wondering is there a easy way to configure/make the socket to not supply voltage when car isn't turned on?

It might be an age thing. I have a 2006 Leon with the same issue. It's because the older can bus was responsible for turning systems on and off rather than the electrical circuits. On the Leon you can change the canbus controller but it's tricky and expensive.
