The good news is my car (stylance with 17 inch alloys/ sunroof / convenience pack )has arrived at the dealer and I can pick it up on Friday, two weeks ahead of schedule. :)The bad news is the oval chrome exhaust trim I ordered cant be supplied as it doesnt fit cars with the 07 bxe (1.9tdi) engine apparently

Has anyone fitted an aftermarket oval exhaust trim rather than the Seat one? Can anyone tell me what diameter I will need and a good place to get one?

More bad news: The centre arm rest is on back order, anyone else having problems with this or am I being blagged?:(

This has sort of blunted my enthusiasm a bit as I had a picture in my mind of the car with the bits on it. To be honest the standard exhaust on the 1.9tdi is a bit of a pea shooter imo.

Hi,

I have the 06 1.9TDi and have the SEAT oval exhaust trim on it (you do have to take about 70mm of the orginal pipe for it to fit).

Not sure what the difference is with the 07 model

Dont suppose you have any pics do you? Mfreeman?

The only reason that I can think of that it wont fit 07 models is if they've changed the pipe diameter or changed the bumper in some way.

Thanks Mfreeman that would be great.

Like your wheels by the way I saw those on a red Leon and didnt like them that much but they look great with the black.

Hi Hon n Gem,

Are the trims on your car the 54 mm ones from Halfords? if so, how did you get them on? they seem to be a very tight fit. Thanks

Did you fit both trims level or like me put the nearside one in a bit, its hard to tell from the photo? Do you find the nearside exhaust sits lower than the rhs btw, I presume its meant to be like that?
