Cheap LCR Prices :]

Hi, after doing some research on prices for LCR tyres I thought I would post a few prices that I have found. The website I used to search was www.camskill.co.uk and all tyres are 225/40 R18's with at least a 'W' speed rating.

Diamondback 968 £41.00
Enduro 916 £36.00
Federal SS595 £59.50
Fullrun HP199 £44.00
Kumho Ecsta £52.00
Kumho Ku19 £54.00
Nankang Ns2 £53.00
Stunner Skudo £56.00
Falken 452 £61.00

All of these prices are for single tyres including VAT. If they're sold as single tyres though there is a £4 delivery charge. I hope this post has been some help to anyone requiring new tyres! :)

These prices are new from 08/01/2008

Anyone who fits cheapo tyres to their car should be shot!

The Falkens are the only ones I'd even consider on that list.

funny i felt falkens were rubbish.

in that list ive driven on kumhos ecsta (at the minute, which are decent enough) and stunners which despite their price where very very good.

I know Falkens were mentioned as being ok on that list but I have them all round and they're great wet or dry. Much better than the 'dearer' Pirellis on before.

i presume they are newer than the fronts, given the current weather and the fact you are replacing the fronts this week then tis no surprise the rears are doing well compared to the fronts :)

for the money that are a good tyre.

I've driven on the Kumho Ecstas and the Falkens - the latter did the job well enough, but not stunning. You get what you pay for I guess...

I recently fitted a pair of Flaken FK's to the rear of my Cupra R, having always run std Pirrellis before.
I cant fault the Falken's and personally feel they are actually a better tyre in the wet and especially the dry than the Pirellis'. There is some twisty stuff near me, and now when I go thru the bends, you can feel the back still stuck to the road whilst the front is starting to break away, where as before you would feel both front and back start to let go. Gonna drop a set of FK's on the front next time round.
Oh, and I'm very careful with tyre choice - not one for chuckin on any old tyre, need them to do their job properly so to speak.

Put your new FK's on the back and move the backs to the front ;)

Aha..... good idea..... didnt think about that.
Will no doubt give me a bit of less grip on the front due to tyre wear so will still get a little slide on the front before the back lets go.;)

Being use to me Mk1 Golf Turbo I like a car that gives a warning that grip is going from the front first rather than the back going first, at least you can ease off and get it all back in line (had a mk1 escort and couldn't get on wiht all that tail out milarky!!)

they are on the back?

id not advice putting the new FKs on the front if the current front are well worn..

 I think r6_allen ment when I buy the new ones to swap 'em round at that point. I want the P's to wear as quickly as possible now so Ic an get the some new Fk's on it (on the front that is).;)

Beat me to it .;)

hehe I did the same got two to try them out after everyone raving about them. Put em on the back. Was impressed then got another pair and swapped em around :). The only real test is longevity as no-one as yet has commented on actual tyre life for them.
