Chatter... Power?

Hi Again.

As ive always had cosworth etc etc ive always liked the chatter that occurs once the boost ir raised (wastegate Chatter)

Well ive just fitted my airfilter and there is no such chatter.

Does this mean its likely i have not got a remap? (i hope i havnt if im honest)

Or is it not something these cars do possible because it has dump valve.?

Also when i hold in gear it would seem to me that it makes good power until about 5000 tops then it just stays.

Is this just what they do or is it also a sign of not being remapped. Or a sign of the standard dump valve not holding the higher boost?

Would be great to get some answers as ill buy the 007p straight away.

Have you got a boost gauge or access to vagcom? log your maf g/s on vagcom, if they are max of just of 200 on a 4th gear run to the limiter it has been mapped

Id go and buy the dump valve any way mate, the standard bosch one isnt worth a toss and will split even when running standard boost, its a definate mod on the to do list.

As for chatter id say you dont want it unless you want to shorten the life of your turbo by stalling the turbo impellor.
