Charge pipes

On the LCR people say that the charge pipe is silenced if so why is this and where do i get one that is not silenced. Is it one of those matters that Seat have to meet tight regs when building a car so have to govern certain things down to meet specs cheers.

Feel made a batch of unsilenced charge pipes, but as far as i know he was the only person to do it.

I have 1 and it is noticeable, turbo sounds louder when spooling and im sure it helps a little up the top end.

Moving a restriction like this is always going to help.

i contacted feel a while ago and he doesn't have any left and won't be making any more either.

When you say greif Feel how do you mean and so you still have the skimatics of your designs. Also do you know where we can get them or if they are even a off the shelf product cheers.

Grief = running about taking orders for people that then pulled out, plus the guy I used for polishing was about as reliable as a not reliable thing - "nipping" to his to find he hadn't done what he'd said he'd done was a PITA, especially with a full time job.

The "design" is fairly simple, so no schematics/drawings. Your best bet is to get some bends and some tube and mock it up on the car...

Theres some on ebay every so often. I could be worng but im sure ive seen them on ECS's web site or maybe the TT shop.

I had a feeling that somebody else was doing them - I think TTS just do swap out polished stock ones, I think scotty's right that ECS do them now if not there was a german company doing an ally one...

TTS do a replacement polished OE pipe (very nice it is too!) but i couldn't find one on ECS's website though. TTS do a BT conversion made by a company called backdraft motorsport and their charge pipe that they use in the conversion is a work of art! i might see if it will fit onto the K04 next time i'm down there.

it is just a standard one polished to within an inch of its life, still has the silencer on it though. the other one that they have is part of a BT kit that they are a fitting centre for (backdraft motorsport over in milton keynes) it is for their garrett Gt roller bearing turbo but it does look like it will fit but i doubt it is available to buy its own
