I have a 1.4TDI 04 reg ibiza. I went up a curb last night and put a hole in the sump.

Is it an easy job to change the sump and how much do you lot reacon it will be for the part?

Haven't done this job on my car, but looked at doing it on my old one.
Should just be a case of getting car up/removing undertray/unbolting sump and putting new one on. Just depends whether you need to remove anything else. You need to remove the bolts and replace them in a certain order and then re-fill with oil.

How did you 'go up a kerb? I suspect if it was hard enough to knacker the sump it will have horlicks'd some of the suspension/wheels etc. too.

if you just hit the sump you should be ok. Not sure on cost of the sump but i would budget on about 60 quid including new gasket and new bolts ( worth getting as you may have damaged old ones on impact) woh and don't frget new sump nut and washer.

Remember to torque the sump bolts up correctly
