Hi all,

I know this may have been covered before i have searched for it but cant find any useful info.

I bought a new temp sensor to replace the old faulty one, I took out the old one swapped over the rubber o-ring and put back into place. The problem lies with the retaining clip, i cant get the sensor to go in far enough to get the clip to lock in so im leaking coolant. Ive now broken the clip [:@]. new one being ordered tomorrow.

Question is does anyone know of any useful ways to get the sensor in properly or am i maybe doing something wrong?

any help would be great as i know have to drive a clio tomorrow :(

Twist it slight as your pushing it in, will slip in then, then clip it :D

Make sure the o ring as a bit of coolant on it, don't want it going in dry.

Problem I had was that I thought it was clipped but it was still leaking, until I found out
that the leg of the clip on the blind side was not in it's slot.

Make sure you remove the old o-ring. It's probably sat in the bottom of the housing which is why the new sensor won't go in far enough.
