Pad removal on the Brembo caliper is simply a matter of removing 2 pins and pushing back the pistons etc
On the "conventional" caliper it is quite different. The caliper is mounted on sliders which are bolted to a carrier. There will be 2 bolts to undo and a spring clip on the front face plus disconnect (plug) brake pad wear indicator. Pull back the caliper and support with a piece of wire. Change the pads. Push the piston back and reassemble and Robert's your mothers brother.

Did these today. The process was identical as above apart from the retaining clip being slightly different. So cheers for the guide Malc.

The allen key bolts behind the caliper were on bloody tight from the last mechanic to work on them though. I actually twisted and bent the allen key slightly getting them undone! Greased the thread on them and not done them too tight for future endeavors.

Them allen bolts for the sliders are meant to be loctited.... not greased and left loose. Think 30Nm or something, can't remember exactly.

They're not in any way loose. Just not as tight as I could physically get them.
