its under your rear seat. unplug the fuel lines and then twist the top and pull it out!! id recomend gettng a direct replacement as it has to fit in its holder

I know a 1.4 pump fits and is enough to fuel a 2 gti 8 valve with no probs, because ive done it.. I think the pumps are all the same on all the mk2 petrols, along with the ignition transformer. However i shall stand and be corrected if im wrong!

it depents on the size of your ingection.how much cc of fuel do you need on the peak of its performance?? i think that a 1.8 pump from a KR (or an ABF its the same) it will cover you. and it fits perfectly.(i tryed myself)

you can take it from any vwgroup car (from 93-99) that runs with 1.8 or 2.0l 16v motors
ibiza's gti (1.8)or cupra (2.0) from 95 to 98 or golf's gti (before the turbo model)1.8 or 2.0 (that's my previouw ibiza conv.) even from the passat 1.8 16v.
the only reason that you need 16v pumps is that they run at 3 bars fuel presure instead of 2 bars of the 8v.

p.s. excuse my poor english!!!
