arite folks, i was playing about with my sps3 today to see if i could get the car to it best, i put the settings to HB 6 and T 7 on optimax, it was goin ok but now it has just started to feel funny at the top end of every gear, i get to about 5000rpm in every gear and it feels like it is being dragged bag for a while then it goes for a few hundred revs and does the same again.. so i just went out there to have a play about with the revo again but is still doing it... so what have i broken now:confused::cry::blink:

cheers folks

HB6 T7 is a bit extreme, I'd have thought (particularly at this time of year when the temps are higher).

If you knock it back to LB9 T6/7 or switch back to stock, is it still showing the same symptoms?

Either way, without checking for codes and running some logs in VAG-Com, you're changing settings in the dark. There's a guide on here somewhere for using the SPS3 with VAG-Com for the best results.

Lower the settings and do a TB reset. Key to first position and leave it for 3-4 mins, when the engine is cold.

status subject to change
settings are quite agressive
you state you have revo stage 2. what mods have you got on the car?

(bear in mind that revo stage two holds boost higher up the rev range so the same setting on stage 2 as used on stage 1 is more boost in real terms).

i would lower the settings, say low boost 9 timing 5/6 and then reset the ecu and complete throttle body alignment.

to do this:
1 check you have the pin number for the radio
2 take the negative off the battery for a few mins, (10mm spanner).
3 reconnect negative lead
4 turn on ignigtion BUT do not start car.
5 leave ignition on for a few mins (or until the hight pitched wine under the bonnet stops). This is the trottle body alignment sequence.
6 enter PIN in radio if required, (or do this when waiting for thottle body alignement).

NOTE: complete the above on a COLD engine.

then try car again.
