i got my car back from garage today as my dmf broke, i still have a tappit noise which increases with engine speed, doesnt get louder just speeds up, went a few garages an got told all sorts of answers from bottom end bearings to tappits. problem is cars running ok its just an horrible noise, been told could be a hydraulic tappit which is what i was thinking. anyone no how easy are to change an what sort of price would it cost to have them done, tried to search but not much info on them. problem only came when flywheel gave up an had horrible vibration through car. also cant be a valve as engine running sweet apart from noise.
anyone shed some light
thankyou
