Centrol Locking

Has anyone had any problems with their mk3 cupra not locking properly with the remote.

I have a feeling it may need reprogramming if i am correct where would you guys recommend i go?

Seat will charge an hours labour minimum seems a bit steep.

dead battery maybe? i'd try that first!

Yeh dead battery all the way.

Type CR2016 into ebay and you can get 5 for around £2. Rather than 1 for around £2-3 from high street shops!

Recoding is easy too. Put into ignition...turn electrics on...take out.....hold lock button......press unlock 3 time....release unlock....you should hear the car lock and unlock a couple of times.

I had a problem with my passenger door not locking..

Couple of days later the car beeped at me, flashed all the lights on the dash. I guess that means stop?

I pulled over and found a loose battery terminal. Tightend it up and the car has locked fine since

I sometimes have to press the button twice but not really anything major! I changed the battery over which helped i think

The redlight flashes on the key when i press the button.

I tried reprogramming but no joy.

The light on the key fobs flashes away but the car still will not lock

I have a feeling the light will flash anyway, its a bit like some remore controllers where if you push one of the buttons it flashes read even if the TV is off, thats just to signify your 'pushing the button' as it were, isnt it?

Well its strange as if i push mine and it doesnt unlock the light still comes on, dont think i explained it very well but what i meant was i think the light is just to signify that the button is being pushed

Only thing i could think of would be to change the battery? Or clean it inside?

Well i tested the batterys which were at 5.9 volts so i brought some new ones at £5 for 2.

Then reprogrammed the key didnt work first time then tried again all the doors locked and it is now back to normal

Yer im happy it was starting to annoy me.

Now all i have to sort out is a squeek coming from the boot area and my car will be almost perfect
