Centre console backlight

Please help,

has anybody had/got this problem? - my centre console display back light, date and the car shape has and now decided to stay on permanently when I remove the ignition key.

I see a centre console/display unit with radio buttons etc went for £168 on ebay, I hope this problem does not get expensive.

Hi Dannyboy1 and all other members...


Just seen your post (from long ago)....... ours has just started to display/perform the same symptoms.


Can i ask please... did you manage to resolve the problem? and if so how..?



I've been mooching around the forum and found references to changing the brake light fuse (??) and that clearing the problem..... sounds strange but it seemed to work (that's if it was the same fault condition of course...).


Any info that any of you can come up with would be most appreciated.

Looks like dannyboy1 hasnt made another post since January 2005. The chances of him replying to you look quite slim. If i were you i'd start a fresh thread if searching dosent turn up any info
