I am right in thinking, that after the doors have been locked when driving off, when you take the key out ALL doors should unlock.

On my Ibiza only the drivers door unlocks, which is a right pain when you go and try and open the boot.

Nope. On my old one, only the drivers door unlocked. You can probably change it with VAGCOM though if it bothers you that much. :)

Yeah only the driver one unlocks when taking the key of of the ignition. Not very funny when your passanger is trying to snap your door handle off in an attempt to get out.

I've learnt to push the unlock switch when getting out of the car. And I think the boot locks itself if you don't open it with in about 15 seconds.

But you can change it with VAG.com

Yeah drivers door only unlocks.....

could swear it unlocked both though at one point :think:

might have just imagined it....

Think i would like to change it......as well as when unlocking externally all doors unlocking instead of 2 clicks....

I'm used to the locking system by now, but sometimes I forget and try to open the boot when I either haven't pressed the key twice or pressed the button inside the car. :doh:

I only have one regular passenger and thankfully she knows all about the two pulls of the handle system. I'm convinced my mum is going to break the thing one day. She's already broken the electric window switch in my dad's MK3 by jamming it into it's surroundings in an attempt to shut the window. :ban:

Nowhere Important
My mum is the same;

Whats hard to understand in the statement "pull the handle twice and it will open..."

But no, she pulls on like its a christmas cracker, ended up me shouting at her to jst not touch anything at all.

All my mates know its a double unlock though, so no more panicking when they try to get out:clap:

Is it not for safty?

I am sure it's for that reason(I guess for ladies who are along in the car) If they were parked up noone can get into the passenger door ;)
