Central locking problem

I was having a bit of trouble with my remote central locking, in that although it always locked fine, sometimes unlocking it again took a few presses of the button.

I decided to sync the key (I only have 1 with the remote buttons on) but after following the exact instructions my key does not work at all, and neither to the buttons on the door that should lock/unlock. I have tried to repeat the sync-ing process to no avail, what should I do now?

I have to open the door with a key :-o Shcoking innit!?

I have tried searching by the way, and couldn't find anyone with the same issue

I had the same prob in the past, they said it needed a whole new key fob, 70 off quid, i laughed and walked away, did as you describe and it worked.

you sure the battery is ok? lights are blinking when you press the buttons?

i had this problem when i first got my car about 8 months ago. so i replaced the battery in the keyfob and its worked fine since

but recently i've found its doing it again. locks no problem and most of the time unlocks ok. buton the odd occasion it takes several presses before it will unlock!! i've found that it makes a difference where you are standing when you press the button. if you are at the drivers side of the car when you press it then it takes a few presses or sometimes will not open at all. if you stand a few metres away and press it then it works no problem

makes me wonder where the aerial is and why it would only effect the unlock sequence!!!

is yours the same mate?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the battery is alright, the LED still flashes, plus the indoor lock buttons not working made me think it could be something else.

Mine was exactly as described above until I thought syncing might fix it.
