Central locking module

does anybody know where the central locking module is on a 2001 leon cupra , my car locks ok but takes 3 presses of the key to open , was going to check the central locking module to make sure the wires are ok etc .....
Just dont know where it is

Have you tried changing the battery in the remote?

You could be getting a poor output from the remote

done the battery and re progamming the key and also the car locking used to cut in on its own but i sorted that , cant think what else it could be
