Central Locking Issues

I unhooked the car battery to look at fitting the fog lights i bought. I didnt fit them and reconnected the battery.

Everything was fine, Monday night i went out. I always unlock car with Keyfob and then when inside lock with the button. on route to Tesco my radio bliped and i lost the time and date, confused but i carried on driving. Looked at clock again and it was fine, back at correct time.

When i get to Tesco i am unable to unlock the car with the button, i had to pull up the door pin. I then couldnt lock the car with the keyfob. Locked the car with key, did some shopping got back to car and car wouldnt unlock with keyfob, had to use the key. The key only unlocked the drivers door and again the buttons inside didnt work.

Thought the fuse might have gone so got home, changed fuse (fuse was not gone but changed anyway) Hey presto it worked, however the keyfob still didnt work.

Tried to sync the keyfob, nothing happened. Also after trying to sync the keyfob the door button doesnt work again. Checked fuse and changed again but nothing. Also sometimes the clock will loose time as mentioned and then reappear fine.

Whats more annoying is the fuel cap, last thing i want is it locking shut with me not being able to open it. Also not checked but i belive the string to unlock the fuel cap has broken.

Been nothing but trouble this car so far, should have stuck with my French mobile [:@]

Anyway, any one had this or can possibly point in right direction. Gonna check all other fuses tonight properly but last check everything was fine.

The plot thickens, got in car tonight via the door lock. Buttons inside are working fine. GO to start and nothing, the mileage display goes blank as well as the aircon/clock display. Took key out and tried again. The car started, mileage fine however clock set to 00:00. Starts to drive and clock resets to current time.

However, this time the display is showing that the vents/blower is off even though air is coming through the vents and its hot. pressed every button and nothing turned it on.

Gets home, gets out and turned off the car, turned on and everything ok with screen, fans come on and display fine however the temp display for the fans is showing LI, pressed up and it went to HI, then pressed up again and it went to H2, H3, H4, H5 (see picture)

anyone had this?

Anyway, turned the radio/air con off and on, the temp displayed correctly. Also tried to reprogramme key again and it worked. THe doors now lock and open via the fob.

How mad

those settings on the heater are activated when holding the AUTO button down. HI1 2 3 4 5 and L1 2 3 4 5 so if its displaying these that means the fans are on :p H4 is the one below hottest(H5)

btw, loving what you've done with your phone charger! nice use of that blank

Ah right, never seen them settings before. Will have a look.

Bloody mad motor!

Phone charger goes from their and the bit that plugs in the cig lighter comes out in the centre console bit. Didnt fancy having wires everywhere

What does the auto H1 and L1 have to do with stuff then?

SInce i have seen this my vents only blow cold, only get hot when on hi. Even 28 deg is cold.

Really annoying, also coming home tonight. Everytime i went to release the clutch the dash lights flickered. Also turned on the AC and everything flickered again. Car also stalled just as i pressed the AC button too. Really annoying me
