Central locking Help

Hi guys my centra locking stopped working last week so i have replaced batteries in the key fob today and its still not workin . I can still put the key in the drivers door and central lock the whole key and do windows up. Is this a common problem? and how do i go about fixing it? Thanks guys, Arron

Try recoding your key you need to do it when you replace the battery i had to do it the other week heres how.. sometimes it does not work 1st time so don't give up.

Key coding
1 ignition on to red lights on dash
2 turn off immediately and pull key out
3 hold 1 of the buttons down (dont matter which)
4 PRESS the other 3 times ( with a SLIGHT pause) 1 . 2 . 3
5 watch led on key (should flash) and doors usually try lock/unlock
6 turn ignition key back on to red lights and wait 5 sec
7 key out again and test operation

Glad it worked i was suprised it did when i did it usually when things on cars stop working my wallet gets lighter.
