Hello All,
We've had issues with the Central Locking on our 1998 Arosa since getting it - usual symptom being that it would not always lock both doors from the drivers side.. unlocking seemed fine. I notice that this area was 'fixed' by a dealer at some point in the car's history, so wonder whether this is a common issue on the Arosa?
Over the past few days the locking has become more temperamental to the point where driving home today the locks kept trying to unlock themselves - despite not being locked! This happened frequently during the course of a 30 minute journey.
On top of this, the car went into the garage for its MOT last week and past with flying colours However, from that evening onwards it has not been running well at all - basically, it starts first turn of the key, but when left to run it cuts out. If you keep some revs on it is fine. However, because ours in an Auto, you can't keep the revs up and as soon as you put it into gear, it cuts out again. Once it is warmed up, this goes away. I noticed that the fuel was very low, so wonder if some rubbish was in the bottom of the tank... after a long run today it seems a bit better. Is there anything obvious to check here do you think? Is there a fuel filter?
Any ideas much appreciated, thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Stu
