Hi,

Have a 2005 MK2 Leon.

This issue has been there a while but its gradually getting worse.

After a long journey the centre console lock/unlock button stops working.
Before it would work but it would need to be pressed for a very long time.
Now it just appears to not work.

The button works fine at the start of a journey, not sure how long until the issue actually occurs.

It's quite annoying when collecting passengers, I need to turn off the car and take out the key in order for the passenger doors to unlock.

Not sure if it's related but I did replace a door lock in a rear passenger door about 2 years ago.
Could it be something electrical that needs to be callibrated/reset?

Wonder if anybody has a suggestion?

Thanks.

Hi buddy, just watched this video a couple of days ago, guessing it may be a similar issue with yours,

Thanks, sounds fairly similar to what I have.
Might be worth a shot... but I'll price a new switch just in case.
Not sure if it would why it works easily before a long journey, either way it was a very interesting video.

I've just checked it again and the unlock is now not working at all.
Definitely going to give this a go some time.
