centeral locking fault please help

hi i am new to this website as i have just brought a 2004 leon cupra r it had got a problem with the central locking if i use the key in the door they all lock but if i use the remote the drivers door does not lock and the hazards lights do not flash i am looking for any advise on how to fix or if anyone knows whats wrong many thanks david

Hi David,

Do you have the second standard key as well?. If you do, look in your owners manual and there is a guide on how to resync your fob with the car's CL.
First of all though check the battery condition and the contacts in the flip key are in contact with the battery.

PS the search function on this site is very good. Loads of threads on flip keys, central locking and common issues.

hi thanks for the reply i am new to this and trying to work my way round i thought it would not be a prob with the remote as it locks all the other doors apart from the drivers one i do have another key but not another remote one many thanks david

No you don't need another remote one. Not unless you want one ;)
The instructions in the manual show how to resync. However if it's only your driver door not locking that sounds a bit more complicated. Try the above first then try disconnecting the negative terminal
on the engine battery for a good 20 mins to reset your ECU. Sometimes works on electrical gremlins. Make sure you have your radio key code as this will need to be re-entered.
