Center Console Radio/Air Con Screen not working?

Hi Guys,

Well I have a mk3 Ibiza. Recently I went to get in the car and the central screen did not turn on (which I'm assuming is because its broken and I need a new one).

The air con is stuck on the setting I last had it on...which is hot, so not great for summer! And obviously I cant get any music or radio.

Is it an easy job to replace it? And where can I get just the standard center console headunit? Just a like for like swap

There has been a lot of discussions on this in the past so you should be able to find some names and numbers to get one off.

And yea it's just like for like so if you can get one in a scrapyard it'd do.
As far as I can remember seat charge an arm and a leg for them.
There are some radio repair shops that specialize in these radios as problems with them are so common.

I'd give you a number myself only I'm not in your country.

Unfortunately the only threads I can find are about aftermarket headunits?

I just want to replace my existing broken headunit with one that is working

Check the interior fuse box on the drivers side (just above your pedals)

If you remove the fuse for the headunit/screen none of it will function but the air con/ blower will remain turned on (happened to me)

My money is on a blown fuse

Is it just the fascia thats not working? Have you checked that the little red ribbon that connects it to the box is still connected?
