Right, got my cupra TDI from the dealer last week, standard they told me.

Even with traction control it would spin in 3rd. Anyway driving home the other night, drops into limp mode and emissions light comes on. I got rid of it by disconnecting the battery!

Anyway Celtic tuning were round this morning to do an ECU remap. They did VAG com 1st and found a few faults.

He then found my car was already remapped by REVO and they had taken all the torque restrictors off and were running it way higher than recommended hence the faults they found!! :wtf:

Anyway Celtic tuning did their remap and very impressed with the results, pulls in every gear and turbo lag reduced. :D

The revo remap was more harsh, quite a bit of lag then boom, too much torque!!

I'll notice more of a difference once the remap is fully embedded but I would highly recommend Celtic tuning.

i didnt know Revo left a picture of their logo in the ECU

seems like you've been billy bullshitted by your new best friend.

if the ECU logged faults, then no wonder it ran crap, regardless of what is on the ECU... I'll wager you'll get the same faults after a period of time (once the ECU's not been reset..)

removing all torque limiters.... not likely, it's embedded into the ECU

like I say, you've been bullshitted IMO (and I will hold fast on my line that any tuner that slags off another tuner should be avoided)

I don't think he was slagging off the other tuner nor was I he just told me it was revo and the limits had been taken off the torque settings.

Either way it's running better but like you said, time will tell!

You certainly can't tell from boost logs, and the way the driveability has been adjusted just by looking at a few lines who remapped it.

Surely if Revo had left a map readable by another tuner, the dealer would have noticed it? Mind you, if it came complete with faults, i doubt they bothered to check it over properly before selling it on to you.
Good to hear that your now happy with the car

I've no idea but now in an other thread they are saying the revo trial is visible by other tuners.........

I'm new to all this so i'm a bit out of my depth!

My dealer i'm surprised knew it was a Leon, anyway he got a much worse 306 HDI in return than he thought!

I am also going to call on celtic tuning, they told me they will adjust turbo boost pressure, fuelling, injection timing, torque limiters, airflow and a few other sections none disclosed as they are part the filing plus run a throttle body calibration.........all for £375......can't be bad. :)

They are based in Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 2BP. :D

Once remapped, bhp wll increase from 225 to 278
& torque will increase from 207 lbft to 256 lbft scary:

Alright my son, I think I paid £300 because they were doing a deal on 150pd engines.

I have no complaints about them, they'll also remove the map in the future if need be plus they advised me on clutches etc when I mentioned clutch slip!

Too high BHP figure and too low Torque figure IMO..
Nearly 280bhp from a Remap is dreaming on a bit.. Unless you've got other mods of course.. Where as torque should reach 280+ mark reaaly..
