Cat Warning light staying on.

Guys,
Driving home Friday, I gave my Cupra a bit of a thrashing! Going up a long hill on a dual carriageway, i got to just over 6000 rpm, and the Catalyst light flashed (I checked the book when I got home, it refers to exhaust only, not engine management)
Well, this was the 3rd time it has done this, but this time, it has stayed on
Its the light that does look like an exhaust cat (Orange light)
I have a Bluefin Superchip, but no other mods.
What have I done!

8000 miles, and 6 months old. Oil level is about one quarter full.

Never casued me any other problems. Is it a sensor, or something more sinister??

Probably just an exhaust sensor failed with the heat .... quite a few have failed if you look through the forums..

It's under warranty with seat still so drop it into them to fix...

actually - looking at where your from .. i personally wouldn't go to the Northampton dealer ... Listers Coventry much better..

Thanks for that. I have to admit I have had 4 SEATS from them, never (yet) given me cause to doubt them...
I thought it wasa sensor too. I had thought of bringing forward my 10K service, but, I reset the cars original settings at lunchtime, and it has gone out. I will run it for a couple of days & see how I get on..
