Guys,

Need a wee pointer here:

Today just been told that my cat has went (lost power and theres a noise coming from it) and the guy has said he can fit a sports cat for £150 all in (cheaper than a normal one). The guy was the one that fitted my new exhaust and straight thru centre, no probs him fitting it aswell.....

Question i am asking is whats the difference getting a sports cat to a normal one? what are the benefits if any and will i notice a difference?

Cheers

sports cat may be different from decat - less cells in a sports cat, for example a 100/200 cell cat as opposed to about 600 in a normal 'cat'

sports cat is a good option, especially as its cheaper than standard - go for, it £150 is cheap and it will still pas an mot - thats the idea, other wise you would just have a decat - let me know if it feels any better as i want a decat but not the noise and mot failing!

my cats on its way out ...my whole exhaust is. saw cheap magnex full system at venommotorsports for about £250ish but no cat. that seems like a good price mate, and if it passes the mot then theres no problem... unless like david said about the making the sensors wonky?
