Cars popping, is it a problem?

My cars trying to act like it’s a rally sl4g! Ive just cleaned my BMC filter and after taking out the forest of dean, 3 wasps, 8 blue bottles and an oak tree I thought id give it a thrash to see if it made a difference. Its freed up the rev range allot more but when I started to slow down to turn around it started to pop and back fire, two more runs and the same again, ive vag comd it and no faults. Four more runs and it didn’t do it once, as soon as I started to pootle home it poped a few more times. Every things tight, nothing show up on vag com and it doesn’t seem to smell rich. I was thinking it could be a coil pack? Any other ideas or things to check as I don’t want to put it into the garage for no reason

my octy has started doing it more often,but mines due to the crap exhaust system i have.its blowing like a mofo,i'm waiting for steel wool to pop out the tailpipes.

Mine seems to pop a bit, usually afta i've given it a bit. I just assumed to put it down for the changes in the air/fuelling in the ECU due to been used to full potential. It calms down again once driven at normal speeds.
