Carpet Mats

Does anyone know how much do the dealers typically charge for the carpet mats for the Mk5?

Has anyone bought any of the mats available on eBay, if so are they a good fit?

Thanks for any help :)

premium ones are £55 and come with anchor points to stop them from slipping. I am going to get these when my ibiza arrives :)

As for the ebay ones, i havent seen them myself, but unless they are the proper seat ones i would touch them with a barge pole.

I ordered some ebay ones for my MK1 leon the other day. They're almost identical to the original Seat ones with the anchor points too. Only £20!

Might get some for the wifes new MK5

Hmmm... £55 from the dealer or £20 to £30 from eBay...

If it was my car, I'd probably go for the dealer mats (can't believe their not standard on the Mk5 Sport) but as it's the wife's car - it might have to be eBay!!

I ordered a set from cybrespares (not connected to them in anyway, just found them through Google, sorry cant post a link yet). I have only had them in week so no idea how good they will wear but they are a perfect fit for the car. Check which type of securing mechanism your car has though as mine had the round type and had to specify this on the order!

Rich.

Mats are not included with the new cars, though you'd think it would be for the price they charge for the car & it would cost them less than a tenner for the thousands they would buy.

Can vouch for having seats and carpets sealed as a good idea if you have little fingers in the car. Especially the kind with half eaten sweets or spilt drinks.

Mind you someone the other day told me their seat treatment was the best because any liquids floated on top for couple of minutes giving you time to mop them up. How does that work in the outside lane of the M5? Do you unbelt and stretch to try to mop behind you with one hand while still stearing (shudder) - the mind boggles.

No wait I've got it! You keep the butler in the back with a pack of kitchen roll. Now where can I get kitchen roll...

I got a set from ebay, they have the Seat logo and look spot on. The fit is fantastic and they have correct anchor points. £25 delivered.
