carpet mats leon

Hi guys, maybe not very mk2 specific question but - how do you clean those Leon carpet mats that are with rubber from the bottom side. Can you wash it in the washing machine?

I usually just do mine with car interior shampoo spray then give them a hoover over.

dont was them in the machine. i did mine and not only did the rubber come of the mat in large amounts but it all broke up into tiny bits. bugger to clean machine and her indoors not pleased. Beware
