available for the leon cupra r (like the ones you can get for the evos)

oliver, i remember reading about cases of carbon fibre bonnets not crumpling in accidents - some of the cheaper ones about don't crumple in a crash and come back through the windscreen like a gilateen! just a thought

Hi NO i had no luck with the carbon bonnet, the reason for my use was lighting the cupra r leon which i run in the britcar series the car is slightly on the heavy side, but i have managed to find a way of getting it done in fibre glass as i need the lower splitter and wings done too

Thanks lads, I am thinking of doing it to lighten the car also. New wheels, brakes and no back seats are as far as I have got to date but my goal is as close as I can get to 1000KG with the intent of it being solely a track car before Christmas 2010. It will have mostly road use with 1-2 track days a month until then.

Scary stuff about the carbon fibre bonnets coming through the windscreen, although from spending the last hour reading articles on the internet opinions are mixed. How much would a fibre glass one cost? Have you got this and the wings sorted Wallace?
