Car wont start after fuel filter change

You could try filling the new filter with diesel if it isnt full already and then turning it over. Air in the fuel lines possibly?

just crank it over for 15 secs, or cycle the ignition then they go, as long as youve filled up the filter a bit

Sorted, cheers all, took a fair few cranks but it's going now. Car feels great after service, guess its like having a blood transfusion!! Just have to wait for temperature to rise before cleaning air con

should always prime it as its a mechanical fuel pump so drawing the fuel through like that (by cranking) means the pump is running with no lubrication...

not to mention it always puts the starter motor through a fair old bit of abuse
