Car running rough when cold

I've taken my car into the dealers today because it doesn't run quite right when it's cold.
when pulling away in the early gears it lurches a bit and then when cruising at low speed it drops back then pulls away a bit.
It isn't hugely noticeable but just enough to be annoying.

The service guy has just phoned to ask if it has just done it since I put the dynatwist on, but it has never been quite right even before the dynatwist.

I must admit I have never serviced the filter, but I do every 5 - 6k miles take it off and shake it out.

They can't find any fault codes so has anyone got any ideas what it could be, or could the dynatwist be at fault?

I think lumpyish running on cold is fairly common? mine certainly isn't the smoothest until its warmed through.

I get that at about 2k in third when cold. It's obly very slight but it is there. Like its not quite sure what to do....

increased fueling probably, then once warm it settles down to normal pressure.

If you wait for your car to come off choke, and revs settle, it will probably drive fine.

Right I've got my car back now and they couldn't really find anything wrong with it. They phoned Seat Technical Deptartment who suggested that they take off the throttle bodies and give them a good clean then replace them so it will be going back again to have this done.

Thumbs up to Hidsons Maidstone - they phoned about lunchtime yesterday and asked if I would like the stone chip in my windscreen repairing (via my insurance). How many dealers would actually be bothered to do this?

I find the same. So I just sit there for 30 secs or so till the revs drop to normal and it feels much better. Still not perfect until the car starts to warm properly, but not so lurchy.

Mine does exactly the same thing, and I do the same as the above. New plugs made it slightly better, but its going back the same way.

40k service on mine in the next 250 miles, so the plugs will be changed. What's nice to know is that it's deffo doing it now, so if the plugs help I will be able to see it straight away.

My other option is swapping out a coil pack per day. I have a new spare one, so I man start with No 1. and then see how we go.

Mine is the same also. I just thought it was running on choke with the aux air pump running. AS other people do...... I leave it till the revs drop then mine is fine!!!!
