Lets guess the response to each when i go to pick it up

Its in for..

* Rear Washer jet only dribbling about 2"
(= they will fix it but need a part, gotta wait)

* Rear suspension creaking/squeeking when damp/wet
(= "we had a look and it looks fine")

* Climate fluttering at hi-speeds and absolutely reeks from startup
(= "needs recharging, youll have to pay" even tho only 25k and used daily!)

Maybe im being pessimistic in my old age?

well my guess is that you'll get we gave it a clean out its fine or they don't have the part and its on order...which will arrive after a minimum of 2-3 weeks and when it does arrive you will find they've ordered the wrong part number!

Well the last time i had it in was in August, just before i went to Florida for 3 weeks. I took it in for the infamous rear rattle which had already twice been in for failed fix attempts.... they were sure it was some 'part' to do with the parcel shelf tensioners..... so i said fine, im goin on holiday, order it, ill bring it back in a few weeks.

Went back, booked a service too, picked car up, went outside, noticed the rattle instantly still there...... went back in, "oh, we've... misplaced the part, we'll re-order it" ....... didnt tell me that when i walked out did ya! Went back the week after, and guess what, rattle still there..... can i be one of these technicians, can i can i?

Mmm, I'm beginning to thing Seats come as standard with some rattle. I had a rattle coming from dash and passnger side vent -they seem to have cured it with saying they found a loose wire behind the air vent, but the rattles and more are back and car isn't even a year old yet!

Well, just had the call.

"Fixed your rear washer jet for you"

"Checked rear susp, all looks fine, can suggest to bring back when noise re-appears (bit hard considerin i had to book almost 2 weeks ahead!)"

"Air con needs a refreshing, its water lying in the system, will cost about £30"

Concerned about last one, queried it as the car is used daily with the air con on, has covered only 25k and is only 2 and a bit years old...... are they bullshitting me, i've told him to see if he has one of these "canisters" and do it today. (mainly as i had pneumonia about 6 months ago, and with aleady a weak chest, i dont fancy catching it again from dodgy aircon!)

Your comment about air con worries me too, just before Easter I had tonsilitis and since the last 3-4 years been getting more and more sore throats (coincides withhaving air con fitted at work) just recovered last week and fell ill again yesterday at work infact soon after I step in the air con room I can feel my throat tensing and glands swelling. At least I'm at home today without dodgy air con....

I'd get that a/c investigated.

Definately want it sorted today really... im off to Scotland for a weeks driving holiday tomorrow and dont fancy having my lungs filled with crap! lol

Really wouldnt wish that Pneumonia on my worst enemies to be honest, i was hospitalised for quite a few days (which isnt common according to doctors) they reckoned id caught it quite bad. In fact, when i got out of Hosp and went to see my GP, he thought i was a day or two away from it REALLY getting serious... nice!

Still, got me a month off work, even if i couldnt manage to walk more than 10yds :)

Not wishing to worry you, but can't you get Legionnaires' Disease from dodgy AC systems?

You can indeed, and until i fell ill and spoke to the specialist, i didnt actually know that Legionnaires' is one of many strains of Pneumonia. As it turned out, i had a form which wasnt linked with any dodgy AC systems... but all the same, once you've had it, it makes you want to try your bloody hardest not to get it again! :)

Just thinking back, when my radiator fans packed up with the aircon selected on ( another common fault) my air on start used to smell bad too.
Didn't think about it till now but after the fans were changed the smell never returned - could be coincidence though.
