My car has the (almost standard) 59Ah EFB Exide Battery.

On OBD11 the access is:

Module 19 - Gateway
Security Code 20103
Adaptation
Battery adaptation

The entry is:

Rated 59Ah
Manufacturer TU3
Serial Number F50127R053 (zeros are always displayed with a diagonal line, but I can't do that here)
Technology EFB

The second line on the BEM sticker on my battery reads: TU3F50127R053. So the first three digits are the battery manufacturer code and the rest is the serial number.

If you don't have a BEM sticker you should have a Quick Code.

The most relevant information is the battery type and capacity to allow the battery management system to charge the battery correctly. The car can't store up-to-date data on every battery manufacturer and serial number. So that may only be available using ODIS ( if at all). Batteries are manufactured to rigid standards so the difference between manufacturers should be minimal.

If you have an EFB battery don't get a much more expensive AGM battery. You will gain nothing.
