Hey All,
I'm new around here...! Been browsing the forum for a while, but only just joined.
I appreciate there are plenty of posts about brakes/discs/pads etc. But this one is tricky, and I'm not too sure what to do...
I need new front discs (323mm) for my 55 LCR, and fully intended to get the plain EBC discs. However, having tried 3 suppliers, it now looks like EBC don't actually have any, and may not have for some time (3 week back order I heard from one company).
This kind of writes off the usual route via this forum for discs, which is to pester Bill from Badger5!
I just want plain discs, and I don't track the car. I really wanna get these fitted ASAP, before the Winter sets in.
So the question is, what do you buy when you can't get EBC discs (and you don't wanna get rinsed £117+VAT per disc from Seat)?
Plain Options I can find (under £200 a pair):
Unknown Brand from GSF: £85 per disc (makes me nervous)
Eicher from ECP: £65 per disc (who are Eicher? ECP own brand?)
Grooved (under £200 a pair):
EBC Ultimax from Brakes4u: £100 a disc
Anybody got any thoughts?!
