Hello,
I Recieved my car 3 days ago It's a Candy White Ibiza Cupra looks amazing but there is a little thing i dont like - the black door strips..

I have seen few that paint the door strips but after asking few painters i been told that because the strips are textured if i will paint it after a while the paint might peel.... ?

Is it correct? there is anything i can do about that ? I really want to paint them to white :p

Thanks in advance :D

Buy some new ones from seat, give them to the bodyshop and get them to smooth them off and then prime and paint, they'll be fine!!

We want pics!

Sounds like your the first candy white cupra... :D

I was thinking that white door stripes might make the car look a little white if that makes sense? The black/grey breaks up the profile slightly.

And where are the pics dammit? :D

way to expensive imo!
where i worked was an expensive place but i dont think even their quite would have been quite as much
it doesnt take that long to smooth, but the priming is the bit that will take the longest as it will have 2 be flatted down after, even that shouldnt be too long to do!
try somewhere else!

don't need to be smoothed really. My sprayshop used a certain primer on them especially for stippled finishes, takes two coats then sprayed on that. Looked no different to bodywork once done.
