can you retrofit folding mirrors

hi i have done a search but to no avail :(

someone smacked my mirror off today, busy traffic so couldnt catch him [:@]

i was wondering is it possible to retrofit the folding mirrors?

i guess you would need
mirrors (with folding motors)
loom for mirrors
the door switch?

am i correctimundo, do i need vagcom?

Just find a written off one, as long as you get the switches from the doors and the motors from the mirrors then that would be it, all you need it power, and if you have lecky windows then you've got that already.
Bit expensive for very little rewards.
Better spending the money on a dog bone, short shift or summit like that eh?

true, but the car spends most of its life on country lanes... i live in the middle of nowhere...
but i can always reach out and pull them in lol

I never thought i would really use folding mirrors, but i do find them very handy to have. A simple turn of the mirror knob and my mirrors fold in (or out) to protect them from being clipped by people/cars/bikes/other, and also helps to keep them frost free :)

when i bought my car from the dealership only one mirror folded. on closer inspection i discovered the one that wouldn't fold in didn't even have a motor! it had obviously been smashed off. The worse news is i cant take it back to complain because sidlow has gone! my luck
