Hi All,

I get a sweek for the first few minutes after start up when the engine is cold and then dies off.

I thought it was the auxilery belt so I changed that today that did not make any difference.

Where are the chains on the V5 engine? Are they on the auxilery belt side or on the gearbox side?

Had a further listen and it seems like it is coming from near the throttle body area, but I cant figure out where.

Any ideas? Thought it could be a squeeky water pump?

Cheers

Alex

power steering pump ? alternator ?

could be any manner of things

personally i usually aim some accurate squirts of duck oil about to see if the squeek changes/dissapears, little bit at a time will soon narrow it down if it is external - internal however is a different matter

The squeek is no longer coming from the auxilery belt side, so Im not sure what it could be
