Hi

Would someone mind re-posting the 'how to remove the head-unit pics please?

The links in this thread http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=116599&highlight=remove+head+unit appear to be dead and the pics are red X.

I need to get the unit out to check the model number, so I can find the right Connects2 adaptor for a Sony NW-A3000 (and, ultimately fit it).

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Edit, have seen the You-Tube footage, but the compression means that it is too noisy to see exactly where the clips-release strips go.

Are there 'proper' keys for this?

Ignore me; I've just found Leon1p's photobucket pics c/o the Link in his sig.

Thanks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbC4ANJr2Jk today i watched this video and walked right throug my car to remove the radio and fix the cables to fix the annoying rattle coming from inner air panels....
but accidentally 2 of the strips that i cut from a dvd box just broke in the head units spaces...and there is not chance to get them back...i pulled them full to the inside , and as you can guess i couldnt remove the head unit????
will it be possible to remove my head unit guys??

The broken bits will either have disengaged the clips or shouldn't stop you using other bits of plastic. It should still be possible to remove the radio without too much stress.

I broke several strips trying to get mine out. One of them is now behind or on top of the stereo behind the facia

And I still can't get the bugger out. Think the top left clip is jammed.

I found that bits of DVD case (as per the video) are too brittle. Are there any better alternatives?

i use the plastic parcel cords, the ones that are heat sealed to themselves to seal boxes up, they do the job fantastic, and i got mine from B&Q Carpark!! freeeeee
