can i refurb alloys myself?

so how would i go about rubbing them down, what kinda pads would i use would sand paper do the job and slowly working down to a finer pile sand paper....

then when they are all rubbed down im going to have them powder coated and glossed, but its getting themprepard which seems the bit im a bit clueless on!

any advice would be appreciated!

i'd put some Nitromors on em, let it's do its worst, then do as you described and work down through grades of sandpaper till you get it as smooth as poss.

Iv done mine, there not great but do the job. First off dont bother removing any off the paint thats aleady on there, just repair the bad bits. Rough them up abit with some fine sand paper and flick can them. Jobs a good un
