Can Bus OBDII

How do, after a lengthy search I still have no answers so.....

Does anyone know if both OBDII & Can Bus Scanners work with MKI Leons?

CAN bus is a newer interface which the mk5 platform cars have other also have this but mk1 Leon doesn't. A CAN interface should be backwards compatible with the earlier cars. OBDII is a generic protocal I believe that all manufacturers have to comply with. So basically both scanners should work. The most crucial thing I think is the software because this is the part that can identify the fault codes.
