camshaft sensor

Hello,

I have been having problems with power drops in the car when driving and occasionally she wont start for me. Brought it to the dealer and the fault reading is the camshaft sensor. Just bought one of these and was wondering firstly would both these problems be caused by this and secondly how easy are they to fit if i tried it myself? Any help appreciated as always

mate did you find your boost going for a few seconds then coming bac??always doing it at the same rpm??i think i have this on my tdi leon

i had this problem at 3k it died and lost power, diagnostic came back cam position sensor, and then 24 hours later a valve broke off So when it says cam position it doesnt allways mean its the senor the timing may have jumped.

the power goes at 4k till 4.5k but boost drops from 1.9bar to 1.5bar then comes back, runs sweet as a nut and has done it for some time...had no lights come up at all
