If your cambelt has not been chaned I would change it regardless of the mileage, for a vehicle of your age the recommendation would be to change at 5 years regardless of mileage.

i did mine at 64k when i first bought it back in may, was the easiest cambelt ive ever changed lol :) was a 2AE engine code.

1. Remove O/S Front wheel and archliner
2. Crack crank pulley bolts off, Remove alternator + power steering belts
3. remove crank pulley , 4x torx bolts
4. Remove top and bottom cambelt covers
5. Mark Toothed Gears x 3, Crank + Cam + Dizzy
6. Slacken tensioner bolt and remove belt
7. Fit new belt keeping everything on the marks you made
8. use some circlip pliers in the holes on the tensionor to tension, then tighten tensioner belt.

To be honest the belt i took off was the original and it was mint, but i changed that and the tensioner £20 all in and an hour and a half my time :)
