Well i finally got round to getting the cambelt changed, not happy at risking it any longer.
Got the water pump done at same time.
I took it to a small garage behind where i work in Gosport and to be honest, i give them 10/10, which is not something i often get to do to a garage!
Firstly the price was pretty damn good - £192 plus the water pump ( i supplied this). this was for the cambelt kit ( rollers tentioners etc), new antifreeze, fitting my new water pump and abviously the labour for the whole job.
Service was excellent, especially when i went to collect it and they were just cleaning it..... and i mean cleaning it! A full jet wash clean, and then nicely hand dried. Damn it looked the dogs, and saved me doing it the next day!
The owner is a ex citroen engineer and knew his stuff. Also he sorted out the rattle under my car for me for no charge - Exhaust mount had rusted away and someone had put a large jubilee clip to hold it which had also rusted and broken free. Took that off and re-secured the exhaust!
The garage is called Woodwards and is behind 'The Range' on Brockhurst industrial estate. It's alittle tucked away and so rely on recommendation. So here is mine.
