that is cheap!!a good quality kit(gates) comes in at £70 + 3 hours labour + the dreaded. I would quote £200 @£30 an hour labour.
The garage is as good as the mechanic's or mechanic that works on it.

Water Pump w/ Metal Impeller, Gates Belt, Tensioner, G12+ Coolant = £119.32 from SEAT. Then there's labour, however if you have a mechanical mind and patience you can do it youself (doing mind this week). Also help's to have someone well in the know to double check the timing before you turn the key.

did you do tricks for him Gary? that's criminally cheap for a dealer

Actually it was sub £200 roughly £192-193 all inc at David Pennmans in Darlington, i get 20% of all parts and i dropped it off on a thurs night collected it the next and used there loan car. They showed me the old pump which was fine as was the cambelt. I had it done just before v-max so i would guess last October and the car was on about 56,000 miles. I thought it was a good price i think they quote 3hrs labour. I am also going back for my brake fluid change £28 all inc and i am supplying the brake fluid. There the best Seat dealer around here i reckon.

Just had my Cambelt and water pump done by King's in Portsmouth, was £250 in the end with the cost for the pump being £50 of that.
