I got a letter from my seat garge the other day stating to me that my cupra is turning 6 years old and it will need a cam belt change, Yet its only just done 44k. What should i do, is it worth changing it?

ok rang seat dealer up to get prices on parts and was shocked

Cambelt - 06b 109 119A - £20.50
tensioner - 06b 109 243D - £40
Water pump - 06a 121 011T - £47.90
Cambelt damper - 06b 109 477 - £64
Cam chain tensioner - 058 109 217B - £92.30:-o

just wondering is it worth gettin the original seat parts lol they are kinda dear, my non originals from like vwspares? or gfs... are cheaper but might not last as long:blink:....dont know where to get them from

I know cam chain tensioner is under the rocker cover lol...and yea ive looked at that guide seems pretty simple if u ask me.... ive done alot of other cambelts on other cars. well parts of on vwspares are oe manufactureres spec so i cant really see there being any problems with them dunno tho its like around abouts the £260 mark for all the parts at the dealer:blink:
