Hi guys,

As you might have read i lost my 2.0litre8v GTi in February and i have a little Polo atm which i love to bits, however i have the opportunity to buy a 1.6 SX with 50k on it.

I havent driven one yet so i dont know what their like on fuel or for power, but could you please give me some feedback on reliability, problems to look out for, insurance, and sheer driving fun.

Cheers

There's no F in Quality..
Fuel ecomomy.... I get 30mpg on the daily commute to work and back, and anything up to 44mpg on a good motorway run :D

Compared to the 2.0 16v, the 1.6 isn't too bad, hasn't got the grunt and sheer power of the 16v obviously, but it's not too bad.

They've got 100Bhp as standard.

Not alot of tuning options available though :(

Common problems..... same as any Mk2 Ibiza really.

1st thing I'd do if I were you is change the suspension, the std stuff is crap to say the least! Talk about body roll !!!
