As of 9am this morning, I am officially no longer a Seat owner :(.

But you won't be getting rid of me that easily, I'll still be lurking :)

They tried getting rid of me when I sold my Ibiza and I'm still here... lingering like a bad smell that won't go away. :)

Anyway, it's bye-bye Ibiza, and hello static caravan !

Just bought a static caravan today to live in while we build our house.
It's a 30ftx10ft 2 bed Willerby Granada....

...anyone care to guess how much it cost ?

£300...get in :funk:

Hasn't the Passat got a tow bar?

I can give you a number of someone who can move it if you are interested.

I'm not towing another one though. Once was enough:whistle:

LOL, I know the TDIs are good for towing but I think even this might be too much for the Passat !

Yes, I'd be interested if you know someone who can move it.

We used a Mitsubishi 4x4 from Emley to Holmfirth. Not something I would want to repeat as I don't think it is "allowed"

You have PM.

You actually towed it on the road with a 4x4 ? You is mad !!

Having said that, one of our neighbours was living in one while he restored his house, when he moved in we helped him shift it off site.
You should have seen the worried looks on neighbour's faces as a large tractor manouevred this hulking great caravan within millimetres of their houses....then proceeded to tow it through the town - in the dark, with flat tyres, and a very flimsy looking drawbar ! I think it was more "drag" than "tow"...

It was early one Sunday morning, 4x4 towing, car in front with flashing light and one behind. We stayed on the back roads to avoid the traffic but some of the corners required abit of manouvering. He had sorted it out beforehand to make sure that the wheels would turn and the tyres were inflated so it was almost roadworthy.

It was about 5 miles and took nearly an hour. Those were the days[B)]
