buzzing/humming back brakes?

i hear a buzzing noise, sorta like electricity or something coming from the back brake area on both sides i think more on the drivers side though. thought it was the petrol cap but its not. hmm what could it be?

If it does it when you aren't moving then it could be the fuel pump - it's under the rear seat on the driver's side. They can hum and buzz quite a lot although it doesn't mean it is going to fail (mine did that for years and years).

Tip the seat base forwards and lift up the flap in the carpet and see if it gets louder.
