bumper strips, quick q

Ok guys, just need a little reassurance...i have 2 new sprayed bumper strips. I'm a noob when it comes to cars, though slowly learning- I had a look at levering the corners after masking them and the corners seem to come away okay, is it really just a case of pulling the buggers from the corners until it breaks away, levering off a few of the clips to make it easier? Obviously the strip routes behind the number plate, remove it or will it fit around it?
Theres been a few methods suggested after looking through the search archives, a flat blade seemed best for pulling the corners away. Already had to fork out for new insurance, revo tomorrow, new maf and coolant temp sense in the week...dont want a damaged bumper to repair either! ;) or have to fork out for pro's to do it when its self do-able lol

Cheers in advance people!

unfortunately theres not alot you can do to save the paint as i have had to find out the hard way

my advice is once there on leave them on, for constantly removing the strips will eventually cause the paint on the bends to crack
