Yep - swapped might to Phillips Bluevision. Very good, much brighter and whiter than the ones that were in there (which were Osram 50% brighter bulbs, which I only discovered when I swapped them out!).
I've actually just recently put in some cheapo bluevision copies I got for about £3 from Lidl a few years ago, and although the light has a slight green tinge they're really not bad.

Gotta admit though, it doesnt make much difference to me as I have the extra two driving lights in my bumper that come on with my highbeams, which is when you notice the lack of headlight light most. In fact they're so bright I didn't realise I had a headlight bulb out until a friend told me

I have phillips bluevision mainbeam and sidelight bulbs too but, dont really notice much difference at all. The old ones were a pain in the bum to get out so until they blow, I wont be changing them.

Has anyone got any instructions on how to change a rear brake light bulb on a leon mk1?
It's my mates car and I told him we could do it but then realised there was no Haynes manual so we're stuck!

On a Leon!?

Try asking in the Leon section hun, you're more likely to get people who know how a Leon goes together ;)

I've changed my headlights, side lights and fog lights to Xenon style ones! Have a look on ebay :)

I've tried most off the well known brands of bulbs and found that Osram Silverstars are the the best. Those Philips Bluevision bulbs I thought were crap by the way.
Recent magazine surveys have found "Ring Ultra Xenon" are the the brightest available without a HID x/former, so I'll be trying them next. They are also the one of the cheapest. Perhaps Emz has these.

Hi there

Are the blue vision ones that bad?

I was also planning on changing my bulbs, looking at osram nightbreakers - are they really that difficult to change?

Yes Philips Blue Vision are crap and they don't give a blue hue either. Any Osrams are good. Ring Ultra Xenon have been tested by Auto Express mag. and found to be the brightest.
